The latest episode of Top Gear USA was excellent. I may also be a bit biased, since I'm a huge rally fan. But seriously- the cinematography and editing for the final race were just top notch.

I have defended them a bunch. They had the biggest tv shoes in the world to try to fill. They stared off poorly, and have done nothing but improve since. Are they as good as TGUK in 2009? No. Are they as good as TGUK in 2004? Getting close. Do they need to improve lots of things? Yes.
I still want to give em the benefit of expectation.

Top Gear USA is fantastic.
No, it's not as good as British top gear, but it's still a damn good show. And honestly, British Top Gear has been declining a bit while TGUSA continues to improve.
